One of the leading iGaming publishers, Yggdrasil, is expanding through all key European markets. The most recent expansion is in the Bulgarian markets, thanks to the integration with Inbet, a Bulgarian operator.

Expanding to Bulgaria:

The offering will see some of the publishers’ hit titles, such as MexoMax, Golden Fish Tank 2, Vikings go Berzerk Reloaded, and Raptor DoubleMax. After the initial deal, the second group of Yggdrasil’s releases will be welcomed by the Bulgarian players. Some of the games included will be Neon Villains DoubleMax, Christmas Plaza DoubleMax, and Valley of the Gods.

Apart from the in-house content created by the company, there will also be releases from the YG Masters impressive portfolio, which includes releases from various providers.

This is the last in the Yggdrasil’s more than successful expansion all across the European continent.

Andrew Pegler, Chief of Commercial Operations at Yggdrasil, commented on the partnership: “We’re thrilled to be launching in Bulgaria for the first time with renowned brand Inbet. With an initial batch of standout games set to go live, we’re confident that we’ll make a big splash in the market before rolling out further engaging titles over the course of our partnership.”

Tihomir Dyakov, Chief of Commercial Operations at Inbet, added: “Yggdrasil has a proud history of sustained excellence, and we’re delighted to be its inaugural partner in Bulgaria. From classic titles to modern, forward-looking mechanics, the provider delivers first-class titles, and we’re very much looking forward to this relationship.”

But this partnership isn’t the only thing Yggdrasil has to be proud of recently. The company’s newest release, launched on August 29, Enchanted Waters, is leading the players to an impressive underwater world.

The game is placed across five reels. The maximum win is impressive – the player is potentially able to win up to 25,000x with the help of free spins and respins. The mermaids await during the respins feature. Suppose the blue mermaid lands; a multiplier of up to x25 can be granted to the player. Other mermaids grant more wins, such as avalanches, removing all low-paying symbols, and turning wilds into expanding wilds.

Scatters are here to award the players with free spins.

Golden Bet feature can be activated for 15x the bet, and it brings at least one mermaid to the last reel. There are other options, such as progressing to the free spins round, that cost 200x the bet and activating all mermaid symbols for 1000x the bet.

The legal status of online casinos in India is complex and varies by state. While there is no federal law that explicitly addresses online gambling, the legality depends on state regulations and the type of gambling involved.

Key Points:

  • No National Law: India does not have a specific national law regulating online casinos. However, the Public Gambling Act of 1867 prohibits operating physical casinos and gambling houses, but it doesn't cover online platforms, leaving a legal grey area for online gambling.

  • State-Specific Laws: Some Indian states, like Goa, Sikkim, and Daman, have legalized land-based casinos, and others, such as Sikkim, have also licensed online gambling. Many states have banned gambling altogether, including online gambling.

  • Online Sports Betting: Betting on sports, particularly cricket, is very popular in India. However, it's only explicitly legal in some states like Sikkim and Nagaland, which have laws permitting online gaming and betting.

  • Legal Gray Area: Many international online casinos accept Indian players and operate legally under licenses from offshore jurisdictions (like Curacao or the UK Gambling Commission). As long as players are gambling on licensed platforms, the risk is minimal, but local authorities may still choose to regulate or restrict online gambling.

  • Cryptocurrency: Some Indian players prefer using cryptocurrencies (like Bitcoin) for online gambling, as it provides a layer of anonymity and security.

While online casinos aren't explicitly legal across all of India, many international casinos accept Indian players, and online gambling continues to grow in popularity. Players should ensure they use licensed platforms and understand local laws before engaging in online gaming.
